Acrylic on laminated paper in the shape of "calamines" (corrugated metal sheets), which is one of the most commonly used construction materials in low income areas in Peru and Latin America.
This project explores instagram as a platform where drawing replaces photography to document the surrounding reality. This project raises the question if by incorporating traditional processes, such as drawing and observation, into social digital platforms they could become less impersonal and more human. The works are based on sketches made life in art venues including galleries and museums in Berlin, which are later transferred to paper and cut out and displayed on a black background. The works are posted on the instagram account #instadrawings_project on ongoing basis.
