Pencil on paper drawings of Puno neighborhood views, drawn from a  room in a roof, where I stayed during a Fulbright Commission sponsored, Research project in that city between May and July of 2022. 

Acrylic on laminated paper, shaped as corrugated metal sheets, the material used for roofing in underserved neighborhoods in developing countries. The paper is guildef with aluminum leaf, and the acrylic drawings depict aspects of the life and urban landscale of Puno. 

This body of work  juxtaposes the immediate nature of Instagram against the labour intensive drawing and engraving on paper to depict art exhibitions held in Berlin between 2018 and 2019.
By using drawing as photography, this project raises the question if by applying traditional techniques to new media, new art forms could be generated.
