Performance produced for Art in Odd Places in October 2009. 6 job seekers carried me in a coffin along 14th Street, NY, while I was reciting the poem “Masa” by the Peruvian poet, César Vallejo. The poem tells the story of a soldier that falls dead in the battlefield and people gradually gather around him asking him to come back to life. When all the people of the world come, he stands up, hugs the first person and walks away. Curated by Erin Donnelly and Radhika Subramaniam for Art in Odd Places 2009.
